I like cheese.

Michelle and I just went to visit the student cheese shop (upstairs) and meat shop (downstairs) on St. Paul campus at the Department of Animal Science. The students in the programs get to learn how to make cheese and they staff the little store, too. Likewise for the meat shop: they grow the animals and learn the different cuts and such. I got a good chunk of smoked gouda and some colby jack for about $3.50! I am pleased. Next time I go I am definitely taking a camera. I wish I had a way to transfer the smell of the meat shop across the internet. Stinky!

I am eating cheese for dinner then!

Books

I finished reading Dry last night and it was soooooo good. I was laying in bed, sobbing and eating cookies from Mom. It was fantastic. I am so sad that it’s over. I want to have Augusten Burroughs’ good-li’l-writer babies.

I think tonight I’ll start Sarah Vowell’s Assassination Vacation.

Photos from Vermillion

Okay, I’ve finally uploaded my photos from last Saturday, starting about 3am and then going to Trick Pony and drinking in downtown Vermillion again.

Overall, Trick Pony was quite okay and I still had fun. Beer helps.

I’m sad to be at work and in Minneapolis again. I had quite a nice time being with friends and lazing around my parents’ house.

And then…

I was a tourist this afternoon.
