I am so enjoying my anti-social weekend! Last night I got home around 5pm and decided that getting out of the house was so not worth it. I finally got around to cleaning the fridge (washing the shelves inside and all that) and cleaning up the laundry room. I still had time left to sit around and let my brain mushify! It was nice. I went to bed early-ish and slept in late-ish this morning.
After getting together a list of accomplishments to be accomplished in order to not have to leave the house again all day, I rode my bike over to Crafty Planet to return some merchandise. There are so many up-hills between my house and Crafty Planet. I was almost dead when I got there. Oops! But then it was a clear downhill shot to Target and Rainbow for some necessities and some desirables. I got home and made myself a beautiful salad for lunch (one of the desirables). Then I finally got to work uploading photos! Oy, my computer needs something… like a kick in the motherboard, maybe. It froze twice before I finally got the massive amount of photos from the last week uploaded.
SO! I began this session by taking some photos of a pair of lamps I put together for a coworker who is having her first baby soon. The lamps are from IKEA and the constructed shades are made out of The Wild Thornberrys.

Then the Watergate Party happened, and it was buckets of fun. I was on photo duty, which is why I have such a ridiculous amount of photos. The woman in this photo received the prize for having the best costume.

I took a quick break to photograph some of my fish babies, because I have recently been told I am lacking in fish pictures. So here are two of my Eltons. The big one (behind) is the mother who I believe keeps spitting out the new babies. She is the reason I had to upgrade to a larger aquarium.

Actually, I was sent a picture of a Bullhead just so I could have a fish photo on the site, so I will share it with everyone.

Ahem. Anyway, then there were birthday festivities for my sister, Karyn, and Barry. We started by playing too much Nintendo at the Chatterbox Pub and wound up at Legend’s for karaoke. We closed the bar! I was so stinkin’ tired the next day, but I guess I was in better shape than others. In this photo the birthday gal is rollin’ a Yahtzee! Maybe.

Oh! And since this isn’t long enough yet, I discovered a different colored Morning Glory growing on my from-seed vines. It’s pretty!

That’s it. I need to go spend more time dancing around my empty house now.
August 11th, 2005 — Movie, Yours Truly
So my excuse for not updating enough is having a social life that is starting to drain me and turn me zombie-esque during the days. I really need to get more sleep. Or if I could just hang out at home with these people. Why do we always gotta be running around, peeps?
Anyway. I have gobs of pictures, too. Of course I’m waaaaaaay to lazy to even get them off of my camera and onto the website. There are so many. I fear the time commitment and the brain power it might take to complete this task.
Maybe I just have the stupids lately. I can’t tell. I can’t think straight. My fingers are typing, but my brain is upside down.
I would really like to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind again. I am having a craving, but I don’t know why. I’ve only seen it once. Someone please rent it and bring it to my house and don’t mind me when I fall asleep halfway through. Thank you.
August 2nd, 2005 — Berg Reunion, Friends, Random Fun, School, Twin Cities, Work
Where, oh, where have I been?
It is officially August and I am officially seriously lacking in motivation. Also, I seem to acquired a cold or something. With that and all the Minnesota humidity, my brain has turned to mush. But, no matter! I shall persevere… Or at least finally take some time to post pictures.
Well, first of all, Lynn came to visit way back in June and I have finally uploaded my photos. There actually aren’t that many from her visit, but I did get some interesting photos from the 2005 Pride festivities, too.

Mid-July, Kristi and I went to visit our gal, Rebecca, at Como Zoo for some wholesome face painting action! Why we picked such a hot, face-melty day to go, I’ll never know.

Then, about a week and a half ago, my family came to visit my sister and I in the cities during Aquatennial festivities. We actually missed the Carribean Fest and went to the Science Museum instead, but we did catch the fireworks one evening. Lumped together (due to laziness) are many photos of flowers, the cats I get to pretend are mine sometimes, and “artsy” photos I took during my latest outing to the Turf Club to see Mike Gunther play.

What else has been going on? Hmm… Today (and for the rest of the week) I get to enjoy two different training courses for Excel and FilemakerPro. I’m so nerdy that I’m actually kind of excited to see what sorts of new tips I’ll pick up for these programs. I use them for a lot of my work and I think I’ll be using them a lot more in the future.
Jen moved out of the South Dakota house, so it is just me and Kristi until September or October. Hopefully we can fill the spare room with someone just as fun and lovely as Jen, but we aren’t in a big rush yet. I’m rather starting to enjoy my boring afternoons from 5–8:30ish while Kristi is still at work, but I ought to start working on my editing course instead of sleeping. Once I’m healthy, this is what I’ll do. Perhaps.
I don’t have much happening these days… No vacations planned, though I may have some visitors soon. My family is having a reunion in Owatonna at the end of the month… August will be a very quiet month, and that’s okay. Because starting in September, I’ll be taking two evening classes and an additional distance course (which is another reason to finish up my editing course quickly) on top of my 40 hour work-week. Yikes.
