Will someone give me $100 so I can get a report about my mitochondrial DNA from the Genographic Project? That’d be totally awesome.

Okay, so Oktoberfest at Gasthof’s on Friday was a hoot! I got a few rounds of Polka under my belt with Kristi, a possibly sleazy old man and a socially stupid insurance salesman. And there was too much beer. I should have enjoyed a brat! Next time.

On Saturday, Karyn and Bryan joined me at the strangest Plastic Chord show. It was a disorganized kick-off party for radio station WMCN at Macalester College. At first there was plenty of feedback and no microphones, but Plastic Chord pulled through and rocked the basement of a dormitory somewhere in St. Paul.

my eyes hurt from staring at filemaker pro and my brain hurts from trying to defeat filemaker pro. my day isn’t even half over yet!

i have class tonight. i will be staring at computers for too long today. maybe tomorrow i can find work away from my desk.

anyway, i do have photos from the weekend and updates and all that awesome stuff, but i am currently importing music on my laptop and that is where the photos are and everything gets all slow and dumb if i do everything at once. please be patient.

i just realized that although i have about a billion awesome musical stylings on the compy, i have not loaded my favorite cds yet. and by favorite i mean cds i never want to sell. this includes at least 22 nine inch nails cds.

i used to be goth and listen to industrial music. now they just sit there, but i’m so proud of my collection. it cost a lot of money and time.

i am rambling. maybe i will go find a cookie to eat. i’ll post photos later.

Grey’s Anatomy was good. I spent some time getting caught up before the season 3 premiere episode last night. I could enjoy watching that show (if it wasn’t on Thursdays during My Name is Earl and The Office).

ER is still better, though.

Things Goin’ On

Last night Kristi and I had a dinner party for the two-hour Cycle 7 premiere of America’s Next Top Model. It was awesome. While she was over, I received her permission to post this video from Jared’s party — she’s being silly. I think it’s hysterical, she was laughing at herself, you might enjoy it, too. Just remember: Do not play her game!

Tonight my pal Mary is hosting a party for the Grey’s Anatomy season premiere. I don’t care about Grey Anatomy, but I do care about parties. In order for me to attend I told her that we will also be watching the season premier of ER. So it’s a medical TV show premier party.

And tomorrow is Oktoberfest at Mario’s Keller/Gasthof zur Gemuetlichkeit! Are you coming? If yes, please polka with me. It’s unhealthy to polka alone.

I have to go back to work now. I’m attending four different preview sessions for the University’s new financial systems. Exciting.

Also of note: I am working on my greatest cross stitch project to date! It might inspire even greater projects.

I’m going now. Bye!
