3:30am is not the time I had in mind when I said I wanted to wake up earlier than usual to make it to the Farmers’ Market.

Pork chop reference on Overheard in Minneapolis:

Random guy to cashier guy: So, what’s the deal with the pork chop on a stick?
Cashier guy: Well, it’s a pork chop, and you eat it.

Today is a good day because I have already bought new shoes – boots, actually – and an iced chai latte from Starbucks. I have not bought new shoes in a very long time. I took some pity on myself and bought myself a gift. I am very excited to wear them on the first day of school – Tuesday!

So this weekend will be quiet and nice. I’m hoping to make it to the Farmers’ Market (I have to remember to wake up earlier than I usually do on weekends) and to perhaps finish another cross stitch.

Then Tuesday happens. I have my first class in the afternoon – it’s a web design course. As I browsed my course packet yesterday, I’m pretty sure I will ace this course. There is a section regarding Flash, and I’d really like to learn that. I’m not going to do it on my own and the University’s Technology Training Center isn’t offering any short courses regarding Flash lately. Therefore I’m taking a semester-long class. Which I will totally rock.

The other course I’m taking is Monday and Wednesday afternoons: digital photography! I’m very excited to do some photography again. I’m not excited for my classmates to make fun of my beat-up digital camera. I would really like a digital SLR, and maybe I will be able to afford that someday (not soon). I think the course also gives an option of using a regular SLR and scanning negatives, but that could be quite costly, too. I hesitated too long this summer to send my camera to get repaired (and there was too much awesome that needed to be photographed), so I’ll have to wait until the semester ends. I’m on a new-every-2 (years) plan with my digital cameras. That’s silly.

Anyway, I think it will be a great semester. I’m very excited for school because I need more creative inspiration. Last weekend? I was so bored. This weekend? I will also be bored, but excited at the thought of having new things to do soon! Hopefully I will be able to meet some great people, too.

I joined Kristi and Jared at the Fineline Music Cafe last night for Johnny’s show. It was nice! I have another faded stamp on my hand, too.

Also he knows me as Pork-Chop, which is very pleasing.
